On 2018-11-09 in Britstown a robbery occurred at an ATM where the victim was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash by three unknown suspects who fled the scene in a white VW Polo towards the direction of De Aar.

The victim, through the assistance of the petrol attendants of Shell Garage in Britstown contacted the police officers who then activated police units in De Aar.

Police reacted swiftly and noticed the vehicle fitting the description circulated. Police intercepted the vehicle and managed to stop it resulting in the arrest of three male suspects aged 33, 34 and 44.

The suspects were positives linked with various card skimming crimes in the Kimberly area. Cash and various bank cards were confiscated from the robbers.

The suspects will appear in the Britstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday 2018-11-12.

The Cluster Commander of Pixley ka Seme Cluster, Brigadier Nonahlubi Sofika has applauded the swift reaction of the members that led to the arrest of the armed robbers.
