The Kimberley Police are investigating a case of possession of suspected stolen goods. On Tuesday, 11 June 2019 at about 07:30 the Northern Cape Provincial Flying Squad in Kimberley were busy with routine patrols when they spotted two suspicious looking men with a shopping trolley in Barkly Road, Kimberley.

Police stopped and search the men and found them in possession of two lead crystal cell phone tower batteries. The men could not produce any form of ownership for the batteries hence they were arrested for the alleged possession of suspected stolen goods.

The value of the batteries is R32 000-00. The two male suspects are aged 29 and 49 years old respectively and will be appearing in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon.

The investigation continues.
