Suspects sought after kidnapping, rape, robbery, Kimberley

The Kimberley SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit are investigating a kidnapping, rape and robbery case that allegedly took place on Sunday, 25 March 2018 between 01:45 and 05:45 am.

It is alleged that two women aged 26 and 28 years old, were leaving from a Night Club in Kimberley when an unknown male jumped into the driver’s seat of their car and threatened them with a knife. The suspect allegedly drove off with them and went to the open veld next to AR Abass Stadium, where he raped the 26 year old in the presence of her friend.

It is alleged that another suspect arrived and they drove to an ATM at a petrol station in Barkly Road, Kimberley, where the friend withdrew R600 from the bank account of one of the victims.

They allegedly drove back to the open veld where the suspect again raped the victim outside the car. The suspects apparently fled on by foot with cash, cell phones and a ring.

The one man had two stars tattooed on his right shoulder and one star between his thumb and index finger. Both suspects were wearing hoodies and dark coloured pants. The suspects were slender build and could be between 16 and 25 years old.
