The police at Rosedale outside Upington in the ZF Mcgawu Cluster have arrested two male suspects, aged 50 and 51, in connection with possession of suspected stolen copper cables.

Members were patrolling the railway tracks at Rosedale on Tuesday 21 March 2018, when they noticed suspicious looking persons. The suspects were searched and found in possession of copper cables valued at R10 000.

The suspects could not provide sufficient explanation why they were in possession of the cables. They were then immediately arrested.

The suspects will be appearing before the local Magistrates Court soon. Police are investigating.
