On Monday, 13 January 2020, at about 02:45, two men were arrested in Kathu for being in possession of suspected stolen diesel which amounts to R25000-00.

Sergeant Eiman and Constable Van Wyk were busy doing patrol duty on the N14 road. They then stopped a Nissan Bakkie with two male occupants aged 33 and 40 years.

The two searched the vehicle and they found suspected stolen diesel. The two suspects could not give satisfactory explanation to the officers regarding the diesel. Instead, they tried to give the officers R2000-00.

The two were arrested, the diesel and the bakkie were confiscated.

The suspect will appear before the Kathu magistrate court for being in possession of suspected stolen diesel and bribery.

The cluster Commander of John Taolo Gaetsewe, Major General Johan Bean commended Sergeant Eiman and Constable Van Wyk for their good work.

General Bean also strongly warned those criminals that intend to bribe the police that they will be brought to book.
