The police in Hartswater have opened a case of failure to give satisfactory account on stock/produce following an arrest of two male persons aged 16 and 34 years old respectively. It is alleged that on 26 April 2019 at about 09:25 a complaint was received about two males in possession of stock suspected to have been stolen.

Upon following up, the police found the suspects at Greefdale road with two lambs and nine sheep tied with ropes behind a Ford Ranger Bakkie.

The suspects could not provide proof of ownership or give satisfying answers when questioned. Both suspects are expected to appear before Hartswater Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 29 April 2019.
