The Roodepan SAPS Crime Prevention, Crime Intelligence Unit and the SANDF followed up information on alleged drug sales in Roodepan. The first raid was at a house in Lerato Park on Sunday 9 August 2020, at about 09:00. Police searched the premises and found dagga worth about R10 000-00 and a substantial amount of cash. A 40-year-old male was arrested at the house.
This was followed by a raid at a house in Kenana Shanties and police arrested a 46-year-old female after discovering drugs on the premises. Tik and Mandrax with an estimated street value of R1000-00 were confiscated.
Both the suspects were charged with dealing in drugs and should be appearing in the Galeshewe Magistrates Court soon. The investigation continues.
