On 31 August 2020, a 19-year-old man appeared before Pampierstad Magistrate’s Court for the alleged murder of his parents. The bodies of the couple aged 67 and 57-year-old were discovered on 27 August 2020 in the veld with visible wounds and marks that suggested that they had been dragged with a vehicle to where they were found.
The suspect was arrested on the same day. The case is remanded to 7 September 2020, for bail application.
