A rapid response by the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Garies led to the arrest of six suspects on charges of stock theft this past Friday, 19 December 2025.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of the suspects, whose ages range from 18 to 47. The arrests came after police members discovered five stolen sheep loaded at the back of a vehicle.
The recovered livestock has an estimated street value of R10,000.
