The arrest happened on 17 Aug 2018 after police followed up on information, the alleged stolen money together with live ammunition was recovered from the suspects.
It is alleged that on 15 Aug 2018, the five suspects robbed two foreign nationals of an undisclosed amount of money at their tuck shop. The suspects allegedly shot the victims before they fled from the scene. Both victims are currently in hospital.
All five suspects are expected to appear before Kuruman Magistrates Court on 20 Aug 2018 for business robbery, attempted murder and possession of live ammunition.
