The body of Judith Redelinghuys (71), a widow and retired businesswoman in Upington was discovered by her daughter, Leanne Arnon, in her pool with her hands tied behind her back, on Tuesday 30 June 2020, after she went looking for her because she did not answer her phone.

Mrs Redelinghuys lived in an upmarket complex near the river. It seems that only Mrs Redelinghuys’s handbag and cellphone are missing.

She was the owner of the local Woolworths franchise from 1993-2012.

The police are investigating the murder.
