The Galeshewe Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit are investigating a case of rape after a 6-year-old girl who was reportedly raped by an unknown male suspect.
It is alleged that on 18 July 2021, at about 17:30, the victim and a friend was playing nearby her house in Madiba Street, Galeshewe.
The suspect approached them attempting to lure them with food money. When the children refused, the suspect grabbed the victim and fled into a nearby veld, where he raped her.
Anyone who can assist with information about the incident is requested to contact Detective Sergeant Tanya Serfontein on 082 495 4605. Police have released an identikit of the alleged suspect.
