Police are seeking assistance after an alleged rape that occurred in Modderrivier. On 1 January 2020, a lady was walking from Motsweding to Rietvale in Modderrivier, when she was accosted at gunpoint by a male, wearing a balaclava.
The man then threatened her with the firearm and dragged her into a nearby field, where he raped her and fled the scene. The identity of the suspect is still unknown but he is believed to be between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, slender built and tall.
The community is advised by the South African Police Service be on the observant and keep safe.
