Members of the Kimberley Tactical Response Team followed up on information about wanted rape and murder suspect on 25 October 2019, at 17:30.
The information was operationalised and the suspect was arrested at Promise land settlement in Kuruman. The arrested suspect is one of the four suspects that reportedly raped and murdered a young girl at Kakamas in September 2019.
The suspect was positively identified by Upington Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit. The suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrates court soon.
Police investigation continues.
