R105k worth of dagga recovered, Kimberley

The Kimberley SAPS are investigating a case of dealing in dagga after a 55 year old male was arrested with 1kg dagga and 10 dagga muffin cakes worth approximately R105 000.

On 25 August 2021 at approximately 01:00, members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations (DPCI) conducted patrols and observation duties at a local bus stop in Kimberley.

The members spotted the suspect collecting a parcel containing dagga from the bus and arrested him.

The arrest led to further investigation in Phutanang in Galeshewe, Kimberley where more dagga was seized.

The suspect was charged for dealing in dagga and was scheduled to appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court on 26 August 2021.

The investigation continues.
