Postmasburg murder: Accused handed 15 year sentence

The Station Commander of Postmasburg, Lieutenant Colonel Witbooi welcomed the 15 years handed down to Tshokolo Denzil Olyn. On 29 March 2019, 51-year-old Mr Jannine Goeieman was stabbed to death at his workplace in Postmasburg.

Lt Col Andries Witbooi applauded Detective Warrant Officer Diane Diphoko for the hard work, commitment and professional investigation he displayed while making sure the deceased and family get justice.

The accused was kept in custody until his sentencing on 24 November 2020.

The accused was found guilty on the murder charge and sentenced to fifteen years (15) imprisonment by magistrate, Mr Hinana in the Regional court held in Postmasburg.

The Investigation Officer in this case was Detective W/O Diane Diphoko.
