After several city halls were burned down last year, of which the Bloemfontein’s one drew the most attention, Winsorton’s city hall has suffered the same fate in the Northern Cape.
Few details are still known and the cause of the fire is also not yet known , although there is a strong suspicion that arson is a possibility.
The total extent of the damage is also unknown.
However, the Freemason Lodge that stands next to this historic city hall has not been damaged.
