Police in Olifantshoek raided two separate residences and seized drugs worth more than R12 000.

Two suspects aged 28 and 29 respectively, are expected to appear in the Olifantshoek Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 27 January 2022 on charges of dealing in drugs.

The arrest of the suspects were executed on Wednesday, 26 January 2022 after the police operationalised intelligence. The police acted swiftly and raided residences of the suspects in Ditloung squatter camp and Skerpdraai location.

During the raid and search 61 zip lock bags of dagga, three plastic bags filled with dagga including mandrax tablets were found at suspect’s house in Skerpdraai.

The police proceeded to another address in Ditloung squatter camp where they found and also confiscated 61 zip lock bags of dagga.

The Station Commander of Olifantshoek, Lieutenant Colonel Langeveldt commended members of the Olifantshoek community for reporting criminal activities within their neighbourhood.
