The resilient efforts of members to clamp down on drug trafficking is yielding great results across the province.

This determination was seen when members of Upington Border police and K9 on Friday, 9 June 2023 received information about alleged drugs being stored and sold at two premises in Upington.

A search and seizure operation was instituted and the two premises were raided.

Upon searching the first house, the team found drugs including Tik, mandrax tablets and cocaine with an estimated total value of R705 100-00. A 40-year-old male was arrested.

The members continued to the second residence where they found dagga to the value of R5 040-00. One male person aged 35 was arrested.

Both suspects will be charged for dealing in drugs and they will be appearing in court soon.
