Farmers gathered at the court in Hartswater, where the four men and a woman accused of the savage farm attack, violation and brutal cruel murder of the Brand family, in Magogong on 26 July 2020, appeared on 30 July 2020. Farmers arrived in droves to show support for the family and farming community and to create awareness of the current crisis in South Africa.
The accused did not ask for bail and their case was postponed to 14 August 2020. All five were remanded in custody.
