The Kimberley FCS unit is investigating a case of child neglect after a new born baby boy was discovered by a gardener on 16 February 2019, at approximately 06:00 in a veld in Carters Glen in Kimberley.
It is believed that the gardener heard the baby crying when he went to dump dirt in the veld. He contacted the police and the ambulance. The baby was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
