On 9 October 2021 at about 09:00, Olifantshoek SAPS C- Relief members under the command of WO Hermaans Van Wyk assisted by Cst Rhofiwa Tshivhule, Cst Kutlwano Monama and the Olifantshoek Sector A Neighbourhood Watch followed up on information of alleged drug dealing.

The team acted immediately and arrested a 26-year-old male at the Olifantshoek hiking spot for possession of dagga.

Police searched him and found 3, 7kg of dagga in his possession. The dagga has an estimated street value of R3500-00. The suspect is originally from Kwazulu-Natal and should be appearing in court soon.
