On 21 June 2018, the Northern Cape High Court seated at De Aar sentenced Roberto Jaffa (38) to 25 years imprisonment for murdering his girlfriend.
It was in October 2016 when Jaffa killed his girlfriend and buried her at his shack in a shallow grave under the bed.
The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 25 years direct imprisonment and five years for absconding. Both sentences will run concurrently.
The Cluster Commander of Pixley Ka Seme, Brigadier Nomahlubi Sofika applauded the investigating officer, Captain Davids and the Constable Madikane of Local Criminal Record Centre for the sterling job done in ensuring that a conviction is secured.
