The operation is led by the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in the Northern Cape, Lieutenant General Risimati Peter Shivuri.
The operation started with a parade held at Kimberley SAPS Parade ground this morning.
The foot patrols are conducted by all management of the province and members from Mounted Unit, K9, Public Order Police, Tactical Response Team, Flying Squad and VISPOL are also participating in the operation.
Kimberly is completely painted blue.
The Provincial Commissioner indicated that the operation is aimed at crime prevention through visibility and also as part of good health.
