A total of four suspects aged 39, 33, 32 and 24 were arrested for possession of mandrax tablets worth an estimated street value of R5070 and R3510.00 in cash. The arrest was executed on 2 April 2019, at Leqwabe Street, Kagisho near Galeshewe.

Crime Intelligence Unit members together with the Northern Cape Provincial Trio Task team acted on a tip off about drugs activities at a house in Leqwabe Street.

Upon a search and raid at the premises, 33 halves of mandrax tablets were found hidden in different places inside the house. Cash to the value of R3510.00 was found in possession of one of the suspects. The suspects are expected appear before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court soon.

The Northern Police Management applauded the Crime Intelligence members including the Trio Task Team, for working vigorously to ensure that drug dealers faces the might of the law.
