It is alleged that on Sunday 21 July 2019, at about 10:00, a 49 year old man went to unit 2 in Mothibistad and shot his 48 year old girlfriend, fatally wounding her. There after he went to his place of residence at Mapoteng and allegedly shot himself. A firearm was found next to the body.
The motive has not yet been established and police investigation continues. People who experience relationship challenges are advised to seek assistance from elderly people, pastors or social workers.
