The High Court in De Aar recently handed down a life sentence for murder to 23-year-old Lorenzo Henzel Lawak for stabbing and killing his stepson, 3-year-old Jayzino Justin Brouers on Monday, 25 July 2022.
The investigation revealed that on 25 July 2022, the mother of the deceased, Ms. Brouer went to fetch her clothes at the house of the accused, Lorenzo of which he refused.
Ms. Brouer who was staying at her place with the deceased toddler returned home without getting the clothes.
On the same day, the accused invited the child to his house where he was later discovered with multiple stab wounds on his body.
The suspect was arrested immediately and bail was successfully denied.
