Man gets 10 year sentence for attempted robbery

The Northern Cape Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) Hawks is making gains in ensuring that criminals are put behind bars.

This became evident after 38-year-old Shain Gregory Anthony was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for attempted robbery.

The Hawks swiftly acted on information of a planned robbery at St. Augustine road in Kimberly. Waylay duties were planned and two suspects were arrested on arrival at the business premises. An unlicensed firearm was recovered during the arrest in July 2009.
