The SAPS in Modderrivier are investigating a case of murder after a 36 year old man was arrested for fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend. On Sunday, 13 October 2019, at about 14:00, the suspect allegedly stabbed the female victim in the street close to her home.
Elsie Tshabalala (37) died on the scene and the suspect was arrested at the Richie Soccer Stadium, minutes later.
The exact motive for the stabbing is being investigated. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to come forward by contacting Detective Constable Renska Seekoei on 082 301 9995.
The suspect should be appearing in court soon. The investigation continues.
