A 23-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of an unlawful firearm and police uniform in Batlharos village outside Kuruman on Friday, 21 January 2022, at approximately 10:00.
After a crime intelligence driven operation, members attached to Batlharos SAPS and JTG Highway Patrol visited a house in Batlharos following up on information they received about police uniform.
The suspect led the police to another house and directed them to the hidden firearm.
The suspect will appear in the Kuruman Magistrate’s Court soon.
