The Kimberley SAPS Visible Policing unit performs daily vehicle patrols at hotspots in Kimberley and surrounding exit routes, which has resulted in success.

On Tuesday, 4 September 2018, at about 11:30 police stopped and searched a 33 year old male at the Taung hiking spot, in Kimberley and allegedly found a bag with mandrax in the tracksuit jacket he was wearing.

The bag contained 210 full mandrax and 15 half mandrax tablets, which has a street value of approximately R21 750-00.

The suspect should be appearing in the Kimberley Magistrates’ Court, on a charge of possession of drugs, soon. The investigation continues.
