Lockdown: Two wholesalers arrested selling cigarettes, Kuruman

On Tuesday, 21 April 2020 at 10:00 two wholesaler owners both 25 years of age were arrested after caught selling cigarettes to the public. Members of Kuruman and Kimberley Highway Patrol Units visited the two wholesalers in Kuruman to check for compliance in terms of lockdown regulations of not selling cigarettes to the public.

The total value of the cigarettes amounted to R9000-00 and both owners were arrested. The two suspects were warned to appear before the Kuruman Magistrates’ court on 8 June 2020.

The Custer Commander of JTG, Major General Johan Bean commended both Kuruman and Kimberley Highway Patrol Units members for their commitment and dedication.
