A 35-year-old man who was travelling from Bloemfontein to Kuruman was arrested at a roadblock on the N8 on the morning of 18 June 2020, at about 10:30.

The man’s vehicle was searched and dagga weighing 0,460kg was confiscated. The seized dagga is estimated at a street value of R2, 500.00.

The suspect’s suspicious driving behaviour along the N8 from Bloemfontein was brought to the attention of members manning the roadblock by a concerned motorist, thus prompting his search.

The motorist that raised the alarm is thanked and law abiding motorists are encouraged to report motorists who are driving suspiciously on our roads. This will assist in curbing illegal transportation of goods and road accidents.
