Keimoes man sentenced to 15 years for murder of his girlfriend

The Station Commander of Keimoes SAPS, Lt Col Barney Visagie welcomed the sentence handed down to murder accused, Cavin Makoti on 26 August 2020. The accused from Lennertsville in Keimoes was found guilty of brutally murdering his 21-year-old girlfriend, Mercia Kotze on 30 May 2019.

Cavin Makoti was handed down a 15 year prison sentence in the Upington High court.

Lieutenant Colonel Barney Visagie applauded the investigating officer, Sergeant Piet Eiman for the sterling and meticulous investigation of the case.
