The Kakamas Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit in conjunction with the Department of Basic Education and Department of Social Development held an awareness campaign on statutory rape, bullying and teenage pregnancy at a school in Kakamas on Friday, 29 October 2021.

The mentioned focus points were addressed and the scholars were guided on the reality of these social ills.

The attendees were also informed about the different processes of dealing with these issues at school.

The team offered their support to educators and relayed their contact details to assist in the speedy reporting of these crimes.

The Provincial Head for FCS, Brigadier Nicky Mills, commended Warrant Officer Mokgalagadi, the Acting unit commander and the team for the excellent programme and ongoing initiative in the ZF Mgcawu District.
