K9 Unit arrests dealer with R180k of mandrax, Galeshewe

A 28-year-old man was arrested in Galeshewe for being in possession of drugs estimated at about R180 000,00.

The arrest follows information about alleged drug dealing activity received upon which the information was immediately operationalised by members from Crime Intelligence Unit and Kimberley K9 Unit. Narcotics dog Eddie was also dispatched to the scene.

A total of three thousand (3000) mandrax tablets were found hidden in a shack behind the house on Lekhele street, Galeshewe.

Members of the Local Criminal Record and Crime Scene Management processed the scene.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court soon. Police investigations continue.

Members of the community are commended for giving valuable information to the police about criminal activities and are urged to continue with the good work in order to curb the scourge of crime.
