On Thursday, 21 February 2019 Hartswater Magistrates’ Court sentenced France Mosimanegape Setlhabi (34), to three years imprisonment, for housebreaking and theft.
The incident happened on 2 November 2017. According to the information, the victim found her house broken into when coming back from work. The suspect broke the window which he gained entry and stole suitcase with clothes inside, Decoder, DVD player and bottle of wine all to the value of R3080.00.
A meticulous investigation conducted by Constable Thabiso Masalanyane of Hartswater Detectives linked the suspect to the case through fingerprints. The Station Commander of Hartswater, Lieutenant Colonel Sereetsi has commended the investigating officer for the good investigation conducted and ensuring that justice is served.
