Operational human resources and physical resources deployed in the John Taolo Gaetsewe Cluster yielded much desired result in terms of the output acquired during the crime prevention operation over the weekend of 15 -17 December 2017.

Police were all over the town, every street in the Kuruman CBD was painted blue with high police visibility. Members conducted stop and searches, vehicle check points, raided houses suspected to be the hideouts of criminals and find abandoned fire arm.

A 34year old man was arrested yesterday and charged with corruption, for bribing a police officer. The suspect gave a police officer an amount of R500, that which was intended to corrupt police officer in favor of the release of undocumented person.

Confiscated drugs with an estimated street value of R30 000 which were found abandoned in the Kuruman residential area, confiscated fire crackers with an estimated street value of R8 000, recovered reported hijacked vehicle in Seoding village.

The criminals are already feeling the heat as we display high level of forces and high police visibility. We will continue to close the space to deny the criminals chances to operate freely.
