A 34-year-old suspect was arrested early on the morning of 29 July 2020, in a joint disruptive operation by the Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation team in Upington, K9 Unit Upington and Port of Entry Upington.
Members received Information about drugs that are being stored at a residence on Angela Street, Rainbow, Upington.
A search and seizure operation was conducted and 475 grams of tik, 1065 mandrax tablets, 67 pieces of mandrax with a street value of R581 000.00 were confiscated.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear at Upington Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 30 July 2020.
