The Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation Unit conducted a search and seizure operation at the Department of Education (Provincial office) in Kimberley on Thursday 15 February 2018.
This follows allegation of gross irregularities in the awarding of tenders by the department without following due processes.
Various documents and electronic equipment were confiscated. No arrests have been made as yet and the investigation still continuing.
