The Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation team has served Trifecta Holdings (Pty) LTD with summonses in June this year to appear in the Kimberley Regional Court on Wednesday, 22 July 2020, for alleged fraud.

Trifecta Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a company involved in the property business and its subsidiary companies concluded lease agreements with the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development and South African Social Security Agency (SASSA).

It is alleged that between the years 2009 and 2010, Trifecta Holdings (Pty) LTD allegedly paid a Senior Practitioner in the Facility Management and Auxiliary Support of SASSA an amount of R60 000 in a form of gratification.

The Director of Trifecta Holdings, Werner Du Plessis, who was representing the company, appeared the same day in the Kimberley Regional court.

The case has been postponed to 15 October 2020 for consultation.
