On Wednesday, 5 September 2018 at about 11:45 the Kathu SAPS followed up on information about a stolen vehicle in the area. The members stopped and searched the vehicle on the N14 close to Kathu.
Further investigation revealed that the Nissan Qashqai the men were travelling in, had investigation and was stolen in Brooklyn, Pretoria during July 2018.
Police also found two false Northern Cape registration plates and some motor vehicle theft implements inside the vehicle. The four male occupants, aged between 25 and 37 are residents from Eersterust in Pretoria and should be appearing in court soon.
The investigation continues.
