A coordinated response by Kimberley Crime Prevention units on Saturday led to the swift arrest of four individuals connected to an armed business robbery in Beaconsfield.

The incident began at approximately 09:00 on Saturday, 13 September 2025, when authorities received a report of a robbery in progress at a clothing store on Main Road, Beaconsfield. According to police reports, three male suspects, aged 27, 29, and 38, entered the establishment armed with a firearm. The suspects allegedly threatened staff, demanded cash, and subsequently fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Acting on intelligence received following the robbery, members of the crime prevention unit traced the suspects to the Galeshewe area. The suspects were spotted in their getaway vehicle, identified as a blue Kia.

By approximately 12:00, the suspects were located inside a residence belonging to a 49-year-old man. It is reported that they were in the process of attempting to destroy evidence.

A subsequent search of the premises led to the recovery of the stolen cash, two knives, a ball gun, and two live rounds of ammunition.

The three alleged robbers and the 49-year-old homeowner were placed under arrest for possession of suspected stolen property. The blue Kia, believed to have been used in the commission of the crime, was also confiscated by police.

All suspects remain in police custody and are expected to make their initial appearance in the Kimberley Magistrates’ Court in the coming days.
