Five suspects arrested with illegal firearms, Kimberley

Public Order Police members in Kimberley have arrested five male suspects in connection with possession of unlicensed firearms.

The members were doing patrols in Galeshewe last night when they received information about firearms.
Information was operationalised. Five suspects who were driving a sedan vehicle at Montshiwa Street were stopped and searched.

Police recovered two unlicensed firearms and ammunition. Five suspects aged between 19 and 32 were arrested.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Galeshewe Magistrates court soon.
