Five arrested with R50k worth of drugs, Hartswater

Northern Cape Joint crime intelligent led operation yielded much desired results when five suspects were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday, 01 May 2018 in Donkerhoek near Hartswater.

Crime Intelligent, K9, Public Order Police, Kimberley Flying Squad and Hartswater Visible police followed on information which resulted in the arrest of five suspects. The suspects were found in possession of dagga, mandrax tablets, and undisclosed amount of cash. They were not just in possession of dagga and mandrax but they were also selling them.

The suspects are facing cases of dealing in dagga and mandrax. All three suspects were arrested at their homes after being busted with dagga worth more than R50 000, which was confiscated in their respective homes during the search and seizure.

Suspects aged 23, 31, 33, 42, 64 shall appear before the Hartswater Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 2 May 2018, facing charges of dealing in dagga and mandrax respectively.

The Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Peter Shivuri commended members of the community of Donkerhoek in Hartswater, for taking stand in the fight against crime, by exposing criminal activities in their neighbourhood.
