A horrific farm murder took place on Sunday 26 July 2020, in Magogong, in the Hartswater area, in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. Danie Brand, his wife Breggie and their daughter Elsabie, who was visiting them, were attacked in their home and very seriously assaulted and kidnapped.
Family and friends who had gone to the home to look for them on Monday 27 July 2020, found a blood stained scene and a ransacked home but no sign of the victims.
The three family members were all missing along with their vehicles which prompted a massive manhunt and search.
One of the robbed vehicles was found late on 27 July 2020, with four suspects, including a woman who is not part of the group, one other attacker is still being sought.
The arrested attackers pointed out the body of Elsabie in the Taung/ Buxton area. The other two victims have not been found.
There is a massive search on the underway but there is no other information available at this stage.
