A multi-disciplinary approached Crime Intelligence led operation yielded enormous anticipated operational outcomes when a 39-year-old man was apprehended, subsequent to be found in possession of drugs worth more than R500 000-00. The suspect was apprehended in the early hours of Wednesday, 17 February 2021, at his residence in Seochwareng Street, Galeshewe.

Drugs which includes Khat and Crystal Meth and an undisclosed amount of cash were found hidden inside the suspect’s house.

The District Commissioner of the Frances Baard, Major General Johan Bean, commended the Frances Baard District Task Team and Kimberley Crime Intelligence for acting swiftly to bring the alleged drug dealer to book. “Drugs dealers should be removed from our society, they are destroying many lives including that of the young people” he said.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court soon, on a count of dealing in drugs.
