Drug dealer arrested, De Aar

On Thursday, 13 August 2020, a 50-year-old man was arrested by members of De Aar Public Order Policing (POP) Unit at 10:30 at Tuintjie Street, Sunrise in De Aar.

The members were conducting vehicle patrols when they noticed a man who is suspected of selling dagga. Members went to obtain search and seizure warrant and it was executed.

While searching his house, they found 89 pokes of dagga and 39 arms of dagga and undisclosed amount of cash. The street value of dagga is estimated at R13 233-00.

The suspect will appear in De Aar Magistrate’s Court soon on charge of dealing in dagga.

Brigadier Adonis, the Pixley ka Seme Acting District Commissioner applauded all the members for their vigilance and alertness in removing drugs from the streets.
