The De Aar Magistrate Court found a former municipal traffic official of Emthanjeni Local Municipality guilty of fraud and authorising the issue of a driving licence without testing applicants as prescribed.

She pleaded guilty to all charges with the court concurring and sentenced her on all counts.

The sentencing was combined and she was handed two years direct imprisonment with an option of a fine of R12 000, plus 12 months imprisonment suspended for four years’.
