A 37 year old suspect is expected to appear before Upington Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 27 November 2020 after he was arrested by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team assisted by Upington K9 for dealing in drugs.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday, 26 November 2020 after information was received about drugs being stored at Dahlia Single Progress in Upington.

The team conducted a search and seizure disruptive operation at the said address. During the search, 604 gram of crystal methamphetamine (Tik) with an estimated street value of R604 000-00 was confiscated.

The suspect was consequently arrested.
